Robert Allison

Bob Allison received his BS.Eng. in June, 1977 from the University of California, L.A., and his MS.Eng. from UCLA in August of the same year.

Bob has been part of MMS® for more than 15 years, and serves as Chief Technical Officer of the company. He is a key contributor to the various MMS® technologies and systems, and has led component development and high-level microwave integration efforts for most of MMS®’ programs.

Bob was a Senior Engineering Fellow with Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon in El Segundo, CA for 32 years, where he designed Microwave Integrated Circuits (MIC), Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC), and microwave subsystems. He served as Technical Manager of numerous microwave development projects, primarily in transmitter and receiver multi-function integrated systems; and he was part of the team that designed the world’s first airborne, X-Band, active array radar transmit/receive module.

Bob is a faculty instructor in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Biophysics at Eastern Virginia Medical School, in Norfolk, VA. He holds 16 U.S. patents, and has received a NASA Inventive Contribution Award.

Bob’s significant experience in microwave and integrated circuit technology continues to drive the development of MMS®’ unique and groundbreaking biomedical applications.
